Rotary dryers are mainly used in mineral processing, building materials, metallurgy, chemical industry, and other sectors to dry materials with a certain moisture content or particle size. The rotary dryer has strong adaptability to materials and can dry various types of materials. It is also simple and reliable to operate, which is why it is widely adopted.
The heat source of the rotary dryer comes from a combustion device, and it adopts a cocurrent heating method. Therefore, the material to be dried enters the cylinder through the feed box and feed chute, and is immediately pushed backward by the spiral lifting plates. Since the rotary dryer is installed at an inclination, the material flows toward the rear end under the combined action of gravity and rotation. At the same time, the material is repeatedly lifted by the lifting plates and continuously scattered from the upper end, forming a uniform curtain inside the cylinder. This allows the material to fully exchange heat with the hot air flow inside the cylinder. As the material is repeatedly scattered, its moisture content is gradually dried out, thereby achieving the purpose of drying.
